What is a Folly Tiki boat tour?
A laid-back cruise through Folly Beach’s barrier islands and salt marsh aboard a custom tiki catamaran: dolphins, sandbars, sunset light, and a crew that keeps it easy.
Can we bring our own drinks?
Yes, we’re BYOB. Just skip the glass bottles. We provide coolers, ice, and cold tap water; you bring the rest.
Are dogs allowed on board?
On private charters, yes, bring your pup. Public group tours can’t accommodate dogs, sorry.
Is there a bathroom on the boat?
The 18-passenger tiki catamaran has a restroom on board. The 6-passenger Tini Tiki does not.
Is there a minimum age?
All ages are welcome. For kids 12 and under, let us know their weight ahead of time so we have the right size life jacket ready.
What happens if it rains?
Safety comes first. We make the weather call about an hour before departure. If we have to cancel, we’ll offer a reschedule or a full refund. If we have to cut a trip short once we’re out, we’ll prorate and refund the unused time.
How many guests can the boat hold?
The tiki catamaran comfortably fits up to 18 guests. The Tini Tiki tops out at 6. Ask about running two or three boats together for bigger groups.
What should we bring?
Comfortable beach clothes, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera, since dolphin sightings are common on most tours. Sunset cruises cool off after dark, so pack a light layer.
What’s your cancellation policy?
Public group tours: full refund with 24 hours’ notice. Private charters, including bachelorette parties: full refund with one week’s notice. If a public tour doesn’t hit the 6-guest minimum, we’ll try to reschedule you first and refund in full if that doesn’t work.
Where do we meet the boat?
97 Center Street, Folly Beach, SC 29439: the public boat landing. Look for the tiki boat on the dock. Arrive 15–20 minutes before departure.
Is there parking?
Yes, car-sized spaces at the boat landing. If those are full, park one block away on Indian Street with all four tires off the street.
Do you really see dolphins?
On most trips, yes. The Folly River and surrounding marshes are home to year-round Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, with mornings and sunset cruises especially active.
