A Modern Day Pirate's Journey

Ryan graduated from East Carolina University without a plan for the water, just a hunch he wasn't done with it. He bought his first sailboat with no experience at all, and taught himself to read the wind and the tides the hard way, one storm at a time.

That boat led to a second one in the Virgin Islands, where he spent a couple of years exploring hidden coves before wanderlust pulled him back to Virginia and a stretch in real estate. But the sea kept calling.

In 2016 he found the catamaran that would change everything. A year of work later, he set sail in 2017 and didn't stop, sailing thirteen countries from the Bahamas to Colombia before the wind finally brought him home to Folly Beach.

For six years he ran "Seas Life," sailing charters out of Folly Beach. Then he built something new: a custom catamaran tiki boat, designed to bring a little of that Caribbean spirit to anyone who steps aboard, no passport required.
